How Age Calculation Works
Age is calculated by subtracting the date of birth from the current date (or a date you specify). The calculation accounts for varying days in each month and leap years. The result is expressed in three components: whole years completed, remaining months, and remaining days.
Example Calculation
If someone was born on 15 March 1990 and today is 28 September 2026:

- Months: 6
- Days: 13
- Total days lived: approximately 13,347
